Composite Poles
Reliable Storm Protection
The exceptional load carrying capacity combined with the RS pole’s light weight reduces the potential for cascade failures. Excellent fracture toughness protects against crack initiation and propagation. Additionally, RS poles are self-extinguishing and meet the published pole strength values from tests conducted after exposure to moderate to severe simulated wildfires.
Maintenance Free Poles
RS poles require no scheduled maintenance, like preservative treatments or repainting, resulting in significant operational savings. Inspections are faster and non-invasive and typical pole replacement frequencies are cut in half. Even hardware re-tensioning is required less often because RS poles have a similar coefficient of expansion to that of steel hardware.
Modular Design
Standard sized modules that can be used to build custom length and strength poles lowers the lead time for deliveries, reduces inventory requirements and simplifies transportation, handling and installation. RS poles enable effective sparing strategies and ability to effectively meet numerous emergency replacement scenarios with only a minimum amount of module inventory.
Crossarm
Crossarms
Available in Southern Pine and Douglas fir, these high quality dense fiber crossarms are available in standard utility lengths (8′ and 10′) as well as custom sizes in lengths from 4′-28′. Meeting the ANSI 05.3 specification standard for solid wood crossarms and braces specifications and dimensions, the AWPA C-25 and C-28 standard for pressure treating for use category UC3B. Cox cross arms are available in a both CCA and Pentachlorophenol treatment.
PUPI Tangent Crossarms
Pick one up and you’ll see and feel the difference compared to wood or other composite beams. PUPI® Tangent Crossarms weigh significantly less than wood beams-with up to six times the strength. A closed-cell polyurethane foam fill provides lightweight, field drillable, strength and stability-that also prevents moisture and contamination. From impact-resistant endcaps to patented internal bushings, PUPI® Tangent Crossarms are built to last.
Available in braced, center mount and alley arm applications, PUPI® Tangent Crossarms are sure to have products to fit all situations.
CR
Steel Tubular Crossarm (for metal or fiberglass)
Steel crossarms to meet the most demanding sports-lighting requirements. Our tubular crossarms gain their strength from the use 3” tubular schedule 40 pipe . The crossarms are galvanized or painted after fabrication to provide a lasting finish that matches the pole.
Check out POLESCENTRAL for additional resources and solutions.
To be mounted to steel poles for flood or sports-lighting applications. The arms can accommodate from 2 to 6 fixtures each
